New Amador Cruise Terminal 2019

Yesterday, Panama’s President Juan Varela held the groundbreaking ceremony for the new Amador Cruise Terminal.

The $165.7m facility is going up in Amador, Panama City, near the Pacific entrance to the Panama Canal.

The two-berth terminal will be administered by the Panama Maritime Authority. It is being designed and built by the Cruceros del Pacifico consortium, consisting of Belgium’s Jan de Nul and Beijing-based China Harbour Engineering Co.

The Amador Cruise Terminal is scheduled to be completed in 24 months.
